Fender is vice president, Financial Reporting, at Mutual of Omaha. She oversees and manages reporting of financial information, including that for state insurance departments, the NAIC and rating agencies. She also manages the company's annual audit process, leads the accounting and reporting for Midtown Crossing, monitors evolving accounting issues, and leads the company's response and compliance with new accounting requirements.
Fender currently serves on the Immanuel board of directors, Alegent Health Internal Audit and Compliance Advisory Committee and the Saint Albert Educational Foundation board of directors.
Washington serves as assistant general counsel at Mutual of Omaha. She oversees and directs all phases of business and insurance litigation filed by or against the company throughout 17 states as well as employment-related litigation throughout the country. In addition, she provides counsel to various corporate departments, including Claims/Customer Service, Underwriting and Human Resources.
Washington also serves as sponsor of Mutual of Omaha's Black Employee Resource Group and is a member of the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands and Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart.
